Fall Break Trip Part 2 -- Disney Time

My goodness...where has the time gone. It has been forever since I posted. Thanksgiving and Christmas happened...I will post on them later.

Let's see....we were heading to Disney. It is a short drive from Universal to Disney and it wasn't long before we saw this.

I was beyond excited. It would be our first stay at Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside Resort. I had read and studied every board, blog and website that I could find. We had decided to stay in a preferred room so we could get one of the updated Alligator Bayou rooms with the little twin murphy bed. Also this is the day that we are meeting up with my brother's family.

We park and see the lobby in the distance...I get the Disney chills each time I pull up in a Disney Resort. My goal is to stay at them all!!

On our walk to the lobby, we have to stop and take a picture under the Memphis station sign since we live near Memphis.

Finally, it is time to check in.

Guess who else is HAPPY to be at Disney?? Yep, the hubs is very happy to be here.

Once we are all checked it, we are starving so we head to the food court to use our Quick Service Dining Plan for lunch! Yummy Disney Food!!!

On the Quick Service Dining Plan, we get 2 quick service meals and 1 snack per person per night on the plan plus a refillable mug each good at your resort for free refills during your stay.

Each Quick Service Meal includes an entree, dessert and drink. Since we have the refillable mug, when we are at our resort we always get bottled drinks to take to the room or to the parks.

My meal was a pork sandwich w/fries, carrot cake and bottle of smart water. It was so GOOD!!!

Jamie got a burger of some sort with fries, bottle water and a cookie.

Allen got a burger with fries, cookie bar and power aide.

Then we filled our mugs with soda. Al and I got coke zero.  Not sure what Jamie got.

While we were eating lunch and waiting for our room, my phone rings and it is a Florida number. Who could it be?? It was the cake lady and they are delivering Al's surprise cake to the room. She gave me our room number! Yippee!!

We finish up eating and head back to the car so we can go find our room. I am so excited.

This is what we see as we walk in the door. The cake was so beautiful and Al was surprised.

We explore the rest of the room and decorate for Halloween.

For those who ask how big or small the murphy bed is. This is my 16 yr old daughter who is 4'11 and approx 110 pounds.

It is now time for a rest/nap so we are ready for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party that night with my brother and his family.

Jamie finds her little bed perfect and takes a quick nap.

It's time to head to the bus stop and meet my brother, sister in law and nephew for their first Halloween party at Disney World. I can't wait to see their faces.

We have some fun while waiting on the Magic Kingdom Buses.

Our first view of the park......

I am stopping for a little while...I got to go cook dinner but I will be back tonight for the remainder of our Halloween Party!!

Thanks for stopping by!!
