Life and New Trip

Good Evening! I am still struggling on my weight loss/get health lifestyle. I am going to get there but it is taking me some time. I got off track and have been unable to get back.

Last week I was in Dallas for a business trip with my day job and I ate out the entire trip. I have been hearing about the whole 30 and this seems like a very healthy way to eat and it would be good for my blood sugar. I am going to keep researching.

Exercise has been mostly nothing but a couple bike rides a week. I have got to get back to every day!!

So my new plan is at least 15 minutes on my bike 7 days a week for the next 2 weeks then bump it up to 20 minutes for 2 weeks and so forth.

For food..I am going to continue to research Whole30 and make a decision on Friday.

Now on with the fun stuff...DISNEY!!! This week we booked our next Disney trip and it will be over Christmas!! I know it is going to be crazy packed but I am researching and watching videos/reading trip reports and it seems that if you go with a plan it can be managed. I can't wait!!

We will be staying at Port Orleans Riverside in a Preferred room which is in the Alligator Bayou which is the same room that we had in October 2012.



This will be our longest trip ever! We will have 6 day tickets so we have plenty of time to explore. I have already started planning my days based on the crowd levels.

Life Update

Happy Tuesday!!!

Alot has been happening in my life lately. I have been struggling still with my weight and exercise. I had been exercising regularly then I got off track and it has been sporadic. I am back to riding my bike and building back up. It's funny how quickly you lose all the progress you had made. My diet has been good and bad. I really felt so much better when we were eating the plant based diet. I felt like I had so much energy and just a good feeling overall. I think I am heading back that direction. It was simple and I can't get that feeling with just counting the calories. It was nice to know I could eat all the beans, veggies and fruits I wanted. I have groceries to last til next week so I will not be switching til then but I will be switching over then. Also, I completely got off the water kick and my skin is breaking out. It doesn't look as good either. I know! I know! Back on water!!!

We have 116 days til our vacation and I can't wait to see Universal and Port Orleans Riverside for the first time and to see my happy place -- Disney again!!






I can't wait to go to the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party too!!!


This is be our longest trip and we are so excited!!

I think the rest of our summer weekends are slammed packed. Just to name a few things coming up father's day, Jamie's friend's QuinceaƱera, wedding shower for my niece, nephew's b-day party, Jamie is leaving for Troy, New York for 2 weeks, soccer practice and then it will be time for school to start. Then soccer season and my niece's wedding. I will be ready for our week in Orlando!!

I will try my best to keep you posted on my diet and all the things going on.

Week 1 Day 1 -- Kettle Worx

Good Evening!! I finished my first Kettle Worx workout (other than the introduction). It was a good workout. I couldn't complete every single one but I did good. The hardest thing for me were the push ups.

After that workout, I then rode 15 minutes on my bike!!

I give the Kettle Worx a thumbs up so far.

I am still alive.....

Good Evening!! Sorry that I left you all high and dry....I have no excuse except I was too lazy to log on. I know, how sad is that. Well, the good thing is I have been logging my food into My Fitness Pal except for this weekend but I went back today and updated that. I had slacked on my exercise over the weekend too. I let my laziness take over. I just did a short but powerful workout on my new exercise bike. I bought it online from Walmart. It was $89.00 and I was worried about the quality. We picked it up at our local store today. My hubby put it together and I worked out. I am shamed to admit that my little ride about killed me. I rode for 1.02 miles which was like 7 minutes. I was huffing and puffing. I know I am fat and out of shape but holy smokes!! It is bad. My goal is to double my time to 15 minutes by next week. I can do this!! I eventually want to get to where I am riding it 30 minutes in the morning and evening so I have an hour workout. The quality seemed fine. It's $89.00 bike and it logs your time, calories and speed so I think it is fine for the money.

I have almost finished a new book. It's called Eat to Live. It is very good and makes you think about what you are putting in your body. Check it out. I bought it for my nook for like $10.00.

I have been taking my daughter to practice her driving. I can't believe that in less than 1 month she will be 16. She is improving but is still nervous.

I can't think of anything else that is happening. I will be posting some vacation specials later so check them out.
