Update on Disney Christmas Trip

Good Evening! We have made some updates or should I say I have made some updates to our Disney trip. The biggest is it will only be a 5 day trip instead of 6 days UNLESS we get the Free Dining PIN that has been floating into emails or an awesome discount comes out for our time frame. The other updates are on our daily plan and whether we are doing the regular dining plan or quick service. We have switched back and forth on the dining plan but at this point we are going to pay for quick service dining plan then pay for 2 table service meals out of pocket. I know it is probably cheaper just to upgrade the meal plan but my husband doesn't want to be tied to 4 reservations just 2.

I am still working on that.

The plan so far is to do 5 day base tickets. We are not much of a park hopping family so the park hoppers never get used enough to warrant the extra cost.

Here is the daily plan: Please note all times are estimated since hours are not released yet.

Sunday -- leave home and drive to our normal stop over Valdosta, GA.

Monday -- Arrive at Disney -- go to Magic Kingdom for EMH evening hours til 2:00am

Tuesday -- Go to Hollywood Studios for morning EMH. Lunch at Sci-Fi then to the room to rest. Back to park for Osborne Lights and stay til closing.

Wednesday -- Go to Epcot -- midday rest then back to park til closing

Thursday -- Go to Magic Kingdom -- lunch at The Plaza then rest time and back to the park til closing.

Friday -- Check out of resort then to Animal Kingdom for the day. Evening leave and head to Valdosta for the night.

Saturday -- back home

We can't wait to see all the new things at Disney. I am nervous about crowds but I am so ready to go to Disney. It will be a rope drop and soak up the atmosphere king of trip.

That is all on the Disney trip. Stay tuned for more details.

Thanks for stopping by.

Long time no see.....

Good Evening!! It has been a week since I posted and I am so sorry for neglecting my blog. Well, I hope that you had a Merry Christmas!  Here is a picture of my little family on Christmas morning.

We enjoyed all our gifts and got some laughs from watching our kitties play in the boxes and bags.

We also went to my parents house for lunch and presents. Here are my parents, brothers and their families.

Then we went to my hubby's parents for late lunch and gifts. Yes, I said late lunch. I was too stuffed so I couldn't eat anything but I enjoyed seeing everyone. Here's my daughter's great grandmother. She is wonderful and we love her so much!!

We went home after this and RELAXED. Christmas was over for us and it was time to enjoy our gifts and relax.

We have watched some movies while we enjoyed our long weekend off. We watched The Box and that was a strange movie. I don't know if I really liked it or not. It was just strange. We watched the Tooth Fairy too. I thought it was funny and really good. We laughed alot. Tonight we watched The Green Hornet and I really enjoyed it and recommend it. It has some cussing and fighting so beware for little ones.

My exercise and diet have not been the best lately. I got side tracked but I am back on the wagon and will continue this journey. I can do this.

So I have been planning for our Oct 2012 trip and I think we may be able to afford a trip in a value resort. We have never stayed in a value before so I am excited to try something new. I will keep you posted on which one we decide to book with.

I almost forgot. I have now opened an online store called My Favorite Things. There are all kinds of items. Please check it out. Here's the link:

I think that is all my updates for now.  I will be doing a vacation special update soon too.

Thanks for dropping by!!

Happy Wednesday!!

Good Evening!! I just have to share that last week I set a goal to exercise 90 minutes for the next week. I did it!! YEAH!! My next goal is to do 150 minutes. I feel better. My weight is slowly dropping too.

I am sticking with it and I will make it!! I know I can.

Our good friends welcomed their sweet baby girl this morning!! We stopped by and saw her at the hospital tonight. She is just precious!! I send out a big congratulations to Brad & Katya!! And I know Kaylee will make a wonderful big sister!!

I am ready for the holidays. All my presents finally arrived. I can now rest and enjoy the holidays.

Friday, I am going to have a spa day and I can't wait. I have a massage scheduled and a fiji scalp treatment that sounds heavenly.

Well, I don't have anything else.

November 2008 - Disney Trip - Part 1

Good Evening!! It's time to start on the 2008 trip. This trip was the weekend after Thanksgiving. We took our daughter out of school for this trip and we have some new things planned.

As we normally do, we stopped overnight in Valdosta, GA. This has become our normal stopping place and makes us feel like we are really on our Disney Vacation!!

This was our first trip to stay at the Contemporary Resort and let me tell you that it was wonderful. We had a Tower Room with Magic Kingdom View and that room was so worth every penny. Sitting out on my balcony and looking at the Castle was more exciting than words can say.

Okay....so it was raining when we got there and the view wasn't the best but through that rain was the Castle and I was in heaven.

The room was great. The rooms have 2 queen beds and a daybed  plus a desk area. At the time we stayed the rooms also had computers but they have since removed the computers.

I can't believe this is the only picture I can find of the room and my daughter is making some crazy looking face in it.

Okay...All of the room pictures have my family in them and they are not looking normal. I think they are annoyed at me taking so many pictures.

Here's the pretty sunny view! See I told you the Castle was there and Space Mountain too.

On this trip we decided to celebrate our daughter's birthday early so I had some special things planned. The first thing we were doing this day was going to Epcot for dinner at Coral Reef. So we hopped on the monorail in the rain and were off to Epcot in lightening speed (well..maybe not lightening speed but monorail speed).

I have one thing to say before I move on...I am premature gray/white. I had the bright idea to let my color grow out then get my hair cut short to see what I look like with my natural hair color (gray/white). Well let's just say I looked liked I aged ALOT so no more gray/white. I am coloring again!!

On with the program....

Epcot was all decorated for Christmas. It was beautiful.

If you have not tried the Coral Reef, you need to add it to your dining experience on your next trip. The food was wonderful and I loved looking at the fish. Now, back in 2008 you could contact the restaurant and have them send a diver down with a sign for special occasions and they would make up a special menu. I had this planned for my daughter and the best part was it was FREE!! They are no longer doing this and I hated to see it go. It was a great experience. These were the first of her surprises for this trip. I can't find the pictures but I know we have it on video so I will try to find it and post it.

Here is our yummy fish and my daughter's dessert. BTW -- We had the dining plan on this trip and it was a ton of food!! You get 1 quick service meal, 1 table service meal and 1 snack per person per night of the trip. The meals include entree, dessert and drink.

Well, we headed back to our room and this was our view from our wonderful balcony.

The next morning was wonderful and we had dining reservations at Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary. Now, if you have never been to Disney or done table service. It is very important to make sure you make your dining reservations BEFORE you arrive preferably at the 180 day mark so you can get what you want and when.

Notice the Happy Birthday Button in the pictures and yes, that is a birthday cupcake for breakfast!! Chef Mickey's is a fun place to eat. Everyone needs to try it!!

Each of the Disney Resorts have special Holiday decorations, the above pictures are what is set up at the Contemporary and the entire thing is made of food!! It was amazing.

Well, I am going to stop here tonight. There is ALOT more to come so make sure you come back.

Thanks for dropping by!!

Until next time, have a Magical Day!!
