September 2009 Disney Trip - Part 4

Good Evening!! Where were we... Oh Yea! We were at the Polynesian Resort waiting on the monorail to take us to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. We made to the Magic Kingdom and we were very excited.

We got our candy bag and walked thru the gates of Magic Kingdom!! It is all decorated for Halloween. It is amazing how they can transform the park.

If you have never been to MNSHP (Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party), let me tell you a little bit about it. It is a special ticket event so you will need to purchase a separate ticket to get in. The park will close for regular ticket holders at 7:00 pm that day. The official start time of the party is 7:00 pm but in previous years they allow MNSHP ticket holders to get admitted starting at 4:00 pm. In years past we have received armbands to wear for the party. This allows the CMs (Cast Members) to see who has tickets to be there after 7:00. Yes, some people try to stay in the park by being sneaky. The party consist of a special parade, a special firework show, dance parties, rare character sightings and much more. It is our favorite time to go.

At the end of the night, we decided to ride the boat to the Polynesian Resort. It is a nice relaxing way to end the day.

We wake to a beautiful day which also happens to be my hubby's 39th birthday!!! 
In 2009, Disney was offering specials for people who visited on their birthday. You could get a free pass, gift card and I think there was a couple of other things. My hubby picked the gift card.

We rode the Disney Bus to Animal Kingdom.

We picked up my hubby's gift card at guest relations then started our exploration of Animal Kingdom. I love all the little things to see. It is a great park to just stroll through. Now, I will tell you that every time I have been there it ALWAYS feels like it is twice as HOT as any other park and the pathways seem a little smaller so some areas get crowded even though the ride lines are not. Just a little warning.  Here are some highlights of our morning at Animal Kingdom.

Well, it was now time to head to our lunch reservation...This is a picture of my daughter showing how hot it was as we wait to be called into the restaurant. Do you know where we are???
